Inspired by Solar system and wandering hour dials that had been popular in the seventeenth century, Tissot created Satellite pocket watch, a time device with unique and luxury design. This artistic timepiece is created for those who enjoy classic elegance and sophisticated style.
Satellite series watches are equipped using the hand-wound 6498 movement that indicates hours and minutes, using a special satellite system consisting of a large wheel, carrying three smaller wheels, each with four branches. Rotation of the large wheel is completed in three hours and after that, the individual small wheels can reveal one number from the window around the dial for 60 minutes.
Until the large wheel turns, the small ones rotate by one step, using two fingers reduce directly into the main plate. This gives opportunity for most of twelve numbers to seem once through 12 hours period. Larger wheel symbolizes the sun, while the four branches represent satellites. At the 6 o'clock position is a small seconds dial, which is bracketed by the words "Mechanical" and "Satellite". The self-winding movement provides a power reserve of up to 49 hours.

Design with silver case is made by rhodium-plated brass, while gold timepiece is crafted from copper material with five chains. Tissot Satellite is attached to robust chain, with a modern twist, which will keep it from losing during the future time.
A design of its black or silver dial takes inspiration from a 17th century watchmaking technique referred to as "wandering hours", which occupy most of its surface for decoration and engraving. Black dial makes a modern reinterpretation of the standard pocket view, while creamy-white toned dial gives a more nostalgic look.
